The Placement Cell, Sri Venkateswara College: A society which shoulders the responsibility of securing the future of the students and works relentlessly throughout the year, has soared new heights in the Academic Session 2019-20. This year, the Cell has managed to get 150 Placement Offers for the Departments of Science, Commerce and Arts in the top notch organisations, a few being Deloitte (Offices of the US), KPMG, Ernst & Young, PwC UK, United Airlines, Boston Consulting Global, The Oberoi Group, Bank of America, Willis Towers Watson, ZS Associates, AON, Grant Thornton, BYJU'S, ABP News Network, Indxx and Zomato among others. The process for a lot of companies is still in process. Till date, the average salary package stands at Rs. 5.03 LPA and the highest pay package stood at Rs. 15 lacs per annum, offered by EduKey. In this session, 100+ companies offered Placement opportunities to the students of our college, out of which 22 Companies conducted their recruitment process at our campus and the remaining companies conducted the process at their official premises. Some companies that visited our campus for the first time are McKinsey Knowledge Centre, American International Group (AIG), RocSearch, Larsen &Turbo Limited (L&T) among others. In this session, a massive 361 Internship offers were made by top notch organisations, to the students of our college, such as Uber, Yes Bank, Teach for India, Viacom 18, NDTV, IndiGo Airlines, Decathlon, Make a Difference, Outlook Group, Oyo Rooms, among others. The Placement Cell organized the fourth edition of its Annual Internship Fair on 12th February, 2020. We received an overwhelming 564 registrations by the students of our college. We invited a number of companies (corporate, start-up, NGO) to come on campus and recruit interns out of which - IndiGo Airlines, Bajaj Capital, Decathlon, Marshall, MedTourEasy , Outlooks , Tetrahedron, Unnati among others agreed to participate. In total, 34 companies offered 255+ internship offers to the students who had applied. The Placement Cell believes in catering to not just the final years, but also works for the interests and development opportunities of the first and second year students. 21 informative and career building seminars were organised by the Placement Cell in this session by reputed organisations and institutions such as Make A Difference, ISB, Ashoka University, T.I.M.E., Teach For India, Zel Education , Deloitte among others. We strive to work diligently in the Successive Sessions too, hosting our recruiters with an increased zeal as well as catering to the aspirations of every proud Venkyite.
