The Sri Venkateswara College Hostel, located within the college campus, was set up in 2008. It consists of two blocks: the Sri Balaji Boys' Hostel and the Sri Padmavati Girls' Hostel. The foundation stone for the buildings was laid on 2nd November 2004 by Late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy (Hon. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh), in the presence of Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy (M.P., Rajya Sabha), Chairman, T.T.D. Trust Board. The first batch of hostel residents graduated in the year 2009.
At the Venkateswara hostels, we strive to give the comforts of a home as well as the optimum ambience for fulfilling both the academic and co-curricular pursuits of the residents. This home away from home is the hub of a harmonious co-existence of multicultural, multiethnic and multireligious students, all representative of the SVC character. The Hostel provides accommodation for 150 students — 75 each for Boys and Girls.
This on-campus residential facility is offered to full-time undergraduate students. Only those students whose parents do not reside in or around the National Capital Region of Delhi (Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, etc.) are eligible for admission. Due to the limited availability of accommodation, admission to the hostel is granted based on academic merit, with room allocation decided by the Hostel Committee. The Hostel Administrative functionaries, in co-operation with the Hostel Students' Association, work towards the efficient and smooth functioning of the Hostel and the maintenance of a harmonious community life.

Facilities
8 Key Facilities150 students (75 Boys + 75 Girls) in double-seated rooms, each furnished with a ceiling fan, wardrobe, table, chair and bed. Every floor has 4 common washrooms fitted with electric geysers and solar water heating; each hostel also has a visitor's room.
Managed by a contractual agency approved by the Hostel Committee, with separate dining halls for boys and girls. Breakfast 8:00–9:00 am · Lunch 1:00–2:00 pm · Dinner 8:00–9:00 pm (summer) / 7:30–8:30 pm (winter).
Two air-conditioned reading rooms, separate for boys and girls, with internet facilities.
Common rooms (separate for boys and girls) with carrom, chess and TV; a table tennis room and gym equipment in each hostel; close to the college playground with a basketball court, football field and cricket practice pitches.
A telephone facility is available round the clock in the hostel premises where local/STD calls can be received.
Residents may use the medical services at the W.U.S. Health Centre, South Campus, University of Delhi; the College Nurse is available 9:00 am–4:00 pm on working days. In an emergency, a student is taken to the nearest hospital and the local guardian is informed.
Union Bank of India (South Campus Branch) is located in the college campus, where resident students are advised to open their accounts.
Dedicated housekeeping staff maintain cleanliness across hostel corridors, rooms and common areas.
Discipline & Security
- Security guards are on duty 24x7 in both the Girls' and Boys' Hostel.
- CCTV cameras are installed at both the gates and outside the Warden's Office in both hostels.
- Lockers are provided for residents to keep their valuables safe.
- Residents are allowed 4 late-nights and 4 night-outs in a month.
- Residents are required to record their exit from and entry into the hostel in the registers — separate registers for Daily Entry, Late Nights and Night-Outs are maintained by the Hostel authorities.
- Late Night: an official SMS is required from the registered Local Guardian and Parent.
- If a resident has no relative or friend in Delhi, a teacher from the concerned department may become the local guardian, if they agree.
- Association students need to get permission from the concerned Convenor to avail both late night and night out.
- Hostel main gate closes by 9.00 pm and boys and girls hostel gates close by 10.30 pm Late Night; beyond that, it is the local guardian's responsibility to take charge of the student.
- Night attendance is biometric, and entry after a night out or late night is also recorded via biometric entry.
- If a late night is taken without prior information, the late night privilege for that month is cancelled.
