About NSS-SVC
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a flagship youth development programme of the Government of India under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Launched on 24 September 1969, the programme aims to develop the personality and character of students through meaningful community service.
NSS-SVC was established in 2018 and currently has five major projects that work with the motto “NOT ME BUT YOU”, embodying the spirit of selfless service, empathy, and democratic living. Our projects span diverse areas of society, including women's empowerment, health and hygiene, animal welfare, education for youth, and serving the elderly. Our work goes beyond these projects through thoughtfully planned seminars, field activities, workshops, donation drives, and collaborations. We strive to create lasting impact while nurturing socially conscious individuals.
NSS-SVC is more than a student society—it is a family of changemakers driven by the shared belief that even the smallest act of service can inspire meaningful transformation. Every volunteer becomes a part of a legacy that values compassion, integrity, and action.

05 ProjectsProject AASHRAY
Dedicated to supporting elderly individuals through care, companionship, and meaningful engagement. AASHRAY builds intergenerational connections, bringing young people and elders together to share stories, experiences, and moments of joy — because sometimes what makes the biggest difference is simply being there, listening, and making someone feel valued.
Project Astitva
Focused on women's empowerment, awareness, confidence, and opportunities. We work with the women of Sanjay Camp — from menstrual and women's health to financial independence and social confidence — creating conversations, sharing knowledge, and encouraging women to take charge of their well-being and future.
Each One Teach One
Dedicated to mentoring, encouraging, and supporting children from underprivileged backgrounds who lack access to quality education. E1T1 provides academic support to the children of Sanjay Camp through academic classes, playful activities, and creative interactive sessions — one child, one mentor, one opportunity to make a difference.
Project POSHAN
A cherished initiative dedicated to supporting families and animals in Sanjay Camp — providing dry rations, food supplies, and cooked meals to families while extending care and nourishment to animals in the community. Every life deserves care, dignity, and compassion.
Project PAHAL
A student-led initiative that turns awareness into action — stepping beyond the classroom and into communities, listening to people, and spreading awareness about issues that matter. Through surveys and meaningful conversations, PAHAL collects ground-level data to identify the community's most pressing needs.

NSS Day — 57th NSS Day “UDAAN”
24th SeptemberWe celebrate NSS Day every year on 24th September. Just as we celebrate birthdays to mark another year of a journey, we celebrate NSS Day to honour the spirit of service, commitment, and youth-led change.
But at NSS-SVC, it is more than just a day of celebration. It is a whole week dedicated to service, with each day bringing one of our projects to life through meaningful initiatives and community engagement.
The 57th NSS Day, themed “UDAAN – The Youthful Wings of Change,” brought the campus alive with knowledge, culture, music, creativity, and youthful energy. The celebrations concluded with the iconic NSS Claps, celebrating the spirit of service and togetherness.
Pashu Kalyan — Poshan
At Friendicoes Animal Shelter, volunteers cared for rescued animals through feeding, play, and interaction while learning about animal welfare and rehabilitation.
Nayi Soch Nayi Raah — Pahal
Through a Nukkad Natak and Poster Making Competition, Project Pahal raised awareness about substance abuse and encouraged students to stand together for a Nasha Mukht Bharat.
SAHAS — Astitva
At Asha Grih Girls Home, Project Astitva conducted an interactive session on menstrual hygiene, body awareness, and personal safety, empowering young girls with knowledge and confidence.
SevaAashray — Aashray
At Rojavanam Old Age Home, volunteers shared conversations, stories, and moments of joy with senior citizens, fostering empathy, companionship, and intergenerational bonds.
Khushiyon Ki Pathshala — E1T1
At Sanjay Camp, children participated in a Nukkad Natak, drawing competition, and interactive games, alongside the distribution of stationery and refreshments, making learning a joyful experience.
From animal welfare and education to health, awareness, and companionship, NSS Week 2025 transformed the spirit of service into action—one initiative at a time. Because at NSS-SVC, service isn't celebrated for a day; it is lived throughout the week and beyond.
ASHA — The Mega Distribution Drive
200+ People ImpactedASHA is one of NSS-SVC's flagship distribution drives, reflecting our commitment to supporting underserved communities through meaningful acts of service.
As part of our Diwali celebrations, the ASHA Mega Distribution Drive at Sanjay Camp impacted 200+ people, with volunteers distributing clothes, cooked meals, stationery, medical kits, Diwali essentials, books, and sanitary pads to children and adults.
In collaboration with multiple partner organisations, ASHA transformed the spirit of Diwali into an opportunity to share happiness, spread hope, and build a stronger sense of community.
ASHA is more than just a drive — it serves as hope to every household; it reminds the ones who need us that to dream is to be just.
Heritage Walk
The Heritage Walk is an NSS-SVC initiative that connects service with cultural responsibility. Through visits to historically significant sites, volunteers gain a deeper understanding of India's heritage while recognising their role in its preservation.
The initiative encourages historical consciousness, responsible citizenship, and active participation in safeguarding our shared cultural legacy—because preserving our heritage is also a form of service to future generations.
Rang Badlaav Ke (RBK)
NSS-SVC ki HoliA splash of colour. A change in perspective. A brighter space to learn.
Also known as NSS-SVC ki Holi, Rang Badlaav Ke (RBK) is a two-day initiative that transforms school spaces into vibrant and creative learning environments.
Through colourful murals and thoughtful wall paintings, NSS-SVC volunteers breathe new life into neglected school spaces, turning dull walls into places that spark curiosity, creativity, and imagination.
RBK believes that the learning environment can shape how children view education. By revitalizing school spaces, we aim to create a more positive, inspiring, and welcoming atmosphere for students. Every year RBK brings with it the spirits of joy and hope.

Jaagriti
Annual Flagship EventCelebrating community, giving, and the people who make a difference.
Our annual flagship event, Jaagriti, brings the campus to life with a vibrant mix of on-ground events, games and stalls, and offline inter-NSS competitions. Building on the legacy of previous editions, this year's Jaagriti continued to be one of the college's most celebrated events—filled with energy, creativity, and joyful moments.
The spirit of Jaagriti began even before the festivities. Through Joy of Giving '26, we organized a distribution drive for the residents of Sanjay Camp. A collection drive was held across the college, with students and professors coming together to donate and make the initiative possible. It was a simple reminder that giving becomes more meaningful when an entire community comes together.
As part of Jaagriti, we also celebrated Workers' Day '26—a tribute to the people whose everyday efforts keep our college running smoothly. From maintaining cleanliness and hygiene to ensuring our campus remains welcoming, their contributions often go unnoticed but are essential to campus life.
